CEO MESSAGE

After studying in Taiwan and the U.S., and gaining business experience in Europe, the U.S., and Hong Kong, I relocated to Japan in 2002 due to family reasons. Entering the high-context Japanese society was a major culture shock — both in daily life and the workplace. I faced significant language barriers and learned Japanese from scratch.

However, these differences sparked my curiosity. I began to ask, “How can we bridge cultural gaps?” and “How can communication between people and companies become smoother to bring out each other’s best?”

Motivated by these questions, I pursued certifications in coaching, personality assessments, and global HR management, and have been deeply studying cross-cultural communication from both individual and organizational perspectives. I’ve held leadership roles in both Japanese and foreign-affiliated companies, and as the spouse of an expatriate, I also experienced the family-related challenges before, during, and after overseas assignments.

These diverse experiences have strengthened my desire to help others overcome cultural barriers.

Today, globalization among Japanese companies is accelerating, and many Asia-based multinationals — especially in tech and semiconductors — are expanding into Japan. But with cultural intersections come inevitable misunderstandings and friction.
